“ My favorite pho place in San Leandro I always come here during lunch time for work and after work. I always bring my family here too. The food is good, good portion and good customer service. The inside is spacious too and cleaned. The price was cheaper than other pricey Vietnamese Restaurants. Too bad they closed I wonder where they moved at ? ”
“ Our new pho spot in San Leandro! We really enjoy the broth here, no sour aftertaste, and never too salty. Noodles are always good, meat is always delicious, and veggies are always fresh. We are always tempted to finish the broth, and we've only done it at one other restaurant ever in our pho-eating life. The only thing we would complain is the size. They only have one size, so you might not feel enough on your very hungry days. The owner is very nice. Pho La Sen is a good replacement of the old pho restaurant. I really hope this place gets more business to fill up all those spots inside. ”
“ This restaurant is larger than I thought it was! I'd only ever passed by outside but finally decided to try it out this past weekend. We visited on a Sunday late morning before it got too busy for lunch. We opted to sit at one of their picnic tables (a fun unique touch) and for our group of two it was def a lot of space. The service was super quick. We had our menus already at the table and they gave us water right after. Within 5 minutes, they took our order and the food came out not long after. Super fast! Wonton noodle soup ($13) - I usually get egg noodle and forgot to ask for it this time. The rice noodle was really good though! I liked the broth a lot, but def let it cool down because it came out pretty hot. Pretty generous portion for the price too! Combo plate ($14) - loved the egg roll! I should've gotten a separate order of it. My fiancé enjoyed the pork chop and chicken wings also. Vietnamese iced coffee ($5.30) - idk y'all... not a fan of this one. I usually love iced coffee but this one had a taste that I didn't really like (almost like a burnt taste?). Maybe I just needed more condensed milk in it. I'd go again if I was in the area but with other options closer to me, I don't think I'd go out of my way. ”
“ Pho La Sen might just be my new go-to Vietnamese restaurant for takeout in SL. The Pho Tai was exactly what I needed to warm up after battling cold/allergy season and all these rainy days in the Bay. I'm not really one to order rare beef let alone for takeout, but this was especially good. The broth was amazing--hearty and hot with depths of flavor, beef was fresh, and the noodles were springy (seemed like they were flash boiled then in cold water so they wouldn't overlook). It really made a difference and I was so happy with my meal. The Cha Gio (Egg Rolls) were also yummy and addictive. Perfectly crunchy, seasoned well, and I could see and taste the different ingredients. We also ordered the Grilled Pork Bun Thit Nuong and that was also really good, fresh, and filling. Pho La Sen has a nice variety of menu items with appetizers, pho, rice plates, vermicelli, along with milk tea and smoothies. So far, I'm a fan of their flavors and my fam enjoyed everything we ordered! Only note is that the portions of the meat and noodles weren't the largest for the pho, but I'd still order from here again. ”
“ Big restaurant. Lots of tables. Decent menu. Okay service. We walked in and were greeted and told to take any available table. There were a few tables in use and one that had been used and not cleaned yet. Some of the other tables were set while others were not. No big deal. We grabbed a seat by a window and boy, was it cold there. The dining room is surrounded by windows and some of the cold outside just simply radiated into the dining room. After a few minutes, we were able to place our order. We ordered Chicken Potstickers - 3 - The filling flavor was fine but we didn't care that the potstickers were deep fried. We prefer a potsticker that is pan-fried so that it has a crispy bottom while the rest of it is steamed. Our fault for not asking first. We fixed the texture problem by drowning the potstickers in our soup which much improved the texture. We both ordered the House Special Combination of Beef Pho (P1) - 5 - Soup was flavorful, noodles were plentiful, and well, the beef was beefy. We dressed up our Pho with Hoisin, Siracha, Bean Sprouts, Cilantro, Basil and Lemon. No, we don't use the jalapeno peppers. The downgrade to this review was the Hot Cup of Vietnamese Coffee with Condensed Milk that I ordered. I had hoped that it would arrive early, and it didn't make it to the table until we had started in on our Pho. Then it arrived in a take-away coffee cup with a lid. When I took the lid off, the coffee looked kind of greasy thought it tasted fine. I would have much rather preferred that it arrived with the Phin (loaded with coffee grounds) sitting on top of a porcelain cup that was already loaded with condensed milk. Come on, for a cup of coffee that cost over $5, I want the full authentic experience. ”
“ Tried out this restaurant on a whim! It was the closest pho near me when I was feeling under the weather. Entering with my party we were greeted with high energy and great hospitality. I ordered the P1 Pho extra spicy and it was spicy! I Need a towel every time I eat here cause it has me sweating like I'm in a sauna. AMAZING taste and hospitality. I have been eating here every week since to continue trying out other menu options!! ”
“ Came here on the 4th of July with a empty stomach and ordered myself a rice plate and avocado smoothie. My boyfriend ordered some pho (he is a Joe's Pho connoisseur) and gave it a 2.5/5 stars. Basically for him, the menu lacked pho options (I agree, hopefully they add BBH options formally on the menu) and was also skimp on the meat. Fortunately, my rice plate was yum and everything I been craving. The shrimp paste + egg cake is always my favorite part of a rice plate. My avocado shake was phenomenal, truly tasted soooo gooddd!! The boba I added was nice and warm. The only thing is that dining in here honestly took forever. We waited for our orders for more than 20+ and I was getting hangry. As soon as I complained one more final time about the arrival of the food to my bf, my plate of food was put right in front of me. :') The wait sure put a damper on my experience but the food fixed it. There wasn't at all many people inside the restaurant so I didn't know why it took so long. Anywho, coming back for rice plates + and very good prices. I definitely want to try the pho here anyway but I need them to make it spicy. ”
